How did you manage to get 14 cars racing together? I'm very interested to know. Carrera digital only allows for 6 cars? If it's simple enough to increase the number of cars that can race at a single time, then I'm seriously considering putting money into more track to build a nice club racing circuit.

Better not get hooked on slot car racing because of you. I raced slot cars in the mid 90's mostly nascar in Toronto Canada. I might have to do a google search for a local track.

I would like to see competitive pitting of the cars. Example.. if there could be a custom system that makes the driver pump the trigger 20 times then the driver can beat other driver's pit times if he tries hard. ( pull trigger 20 times doing it faster than his opponent )

Great to see the rare 1/24th Scalextric high standard products. I only saw these in the 1968 catalogue, so was surprised when you stated they were made into the seventies. Especially since a downturn in the early seventies had a Scalextric rationalisation of the range of the 1/32nd range. Scalextric suggested in print that the 1/24th track was suitable for outdoor use since they went for stainless steel running rails for this top of the range product. A good idea given how so many 1/32nd track pieces succumbed to rust.

More on the Minic Motorways after 2:00. Made starting around 1962 but faded out around 1970. It was claimed to be of the UK model railway scale of 1/76 but easier to make the trucks and buses that scale, small cars harder so larger than scale. The so called HO cars are never the true HO scale of 1/87 but aim for 1/64. Search for ; triang 1964 10th ed To see the Triang 1964 tenth edition catalogue with the Minic range on the first and last pages. The idea was to be the scenic equivalent of model trains but the racing cars and parts dominated sales later. A sister company of Triang Scalextric but when times got tougher for toys inthe seventies the Minic range was shut down. Ortmann make urathane tyres to fix old hardened tyre problems. What race management software was that on the digital road course? I currently use the Magic Arc app, but the last time I tried using the Scalextric app, it was still in portrait-mode only. Has there been an update to allow for landscape-mode viewing on a monitor?
